A commitment to environmental excellence
Baran is committed to environmental excellence. Each of our projects, whether a semiconductor plant, a refinery, a new road, or a telecommunications tower, has the potential to effect people, animals, plants, and land. We always strive to protect the environment during a project, and to build in safeguards that will maintain its protection long after the project has been completed.
Baran has been awarded the internationally recognized ISO14001 certificate for effective management of the environment in which it operates.
Baran is committed to ensuring the protection and preservation of the environment in its everyday operations and services. In keeping with this goal, the company has adopted practices for effective management of the environment in which it operates and has been awarded the internationally recognized ISO14001 certificate for Environmental Management Systems. This commitment is consistent with the company’s value of ensuring “community and environmental stewardship”.

Over the past two years, Baran Group has developed and implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS), consistent with the requirements of the ISO 14001 EMS Standards for effective management of environmental risks.

The commitment of the Group is further declared in its Environmental Policy which is available for public viewing.
Initiatives undertaken towards the establishment of the ISO 14001 EMS include:
• Development and dissemination of an environment policy

• Identification of the pilot site at IDC-9 HAIFA
• Appointment of an Environment Management Representative (EMR)

   to oversee the effective implementation of the EMS
• Comprehensive survey of Company operations to identify activities

   that impact the environment
• Setting environmental goals and targets aimed at managing

   aspects that impact the environment
• Implementing management programs to achieve the environmental

   goals and targets

• Training auditors and an internal auditor
